Meth Lab Cleanup

1/9/2017 (Permalink)

SERVPRO offers many services big or small, normal or unexpected. We specialize in biohazard cleanup which includes sewage, crime scene, accident, hoarding, animal waste, chemical, meth lab, and more. Meth labs can be found in your Youngstown area. SERVPRO realizes chemicals used in the production of illegal drugs such as methamphetamine leave harmful residues throughout the location where meth was being made. We are trained professionals who follow federal and state guidelines to properly clean all of the surfaces affected. A meth lab location must first have all obvious dangers removed such as chemicals, equipment, drugs, and other illegal items. Then the whole area is cleaned and if necessary the land and waters are also cleaned. After this has been done, the location will then again be inhabitable.

Stay out of the affected areas after the contamination has taken place. If the situation is extreme or life threatening call emergency services and turn off the HVAC system. 3 Water Stages

8/29/2016 (Permalink)

Sewage backups should not be taken light considering that can be very dangerous by causing severe illness. The contaminated water and bacteria could lead to infectious diseases if not taken care of immediately. There are three different types of stages of water, three being the most hazardous. The first stage is clean water which is usually from a broke water line, but this stage can quickly turn into stage two or three if untreated. Stage two is usually from toilet or dish overflow and is considered gray water. Stage two may include bacteria and viruses and needs to be treated immediately to prevent stage three from occurring. Stage three water is extremely hazardous and contained with unsanitary water filled with bacteria; if this water is ingested it could lead to life-threatening illness or death and all contact to this water should be avoided. We are a 24/7 hour service and if any emergencies like this occur we are able to help here at SERVPRO.
