Pipe bursts

There are a few reasons pipes can burst, but the main one is because of freezing conditions.  Other reasons pipes many burst are due to age, misuse, or damage. When pipes burst they cause damage to property, homes, and sometimes entire areas of a town and roads for days. The most devastating part of pipe bursts aren’t the cost of the repair or even the loss of water, it is the damage that the water does to the homes. In one day the water accumulation in a house could be 9,600 liters of water. Winter is here, so by keeping your homes correctly heated and your pipes properly protected you can avoid a pipe burst in you Campbell home. If you have a pipe burst, close the stopcock fully and open the taps in the home to remove water from the system, stay away from all electrical devices, move any furniture away as soon as possible, call your emergency plumber, and finally call SERVPRO to take care of your water damages.
